What's New with Sintelix!
Welcome to Sintelx 7.9!
This release includes exciting improvements to Network Custom Templates to provide more options to create informative reports, Ingestion and Document Processing to give even greater control and more...
This is on top of the powerful new features introduced with releases 7.7 and 7.8 (checkout the highlights from the previous versions in What's New with Sintelix 7.8! ).
We have also updated the Sintelix Chrome Extension (V2.1.1). Remember to check the updated extension has been installed in your browser to benefit from the improvements.
Improvements
Custom Network Templates
We recognise that being able to create informative reports on your findings is important. We have added several enhancements to the Network Custom Template configuration with this release.
You can now:
-
embed a timeline into your report
-
embed a map into your report
-
embed a link to a Network Table or Graph
-
choose how to display lists of values, inline, listed, bulleted or numbered.
-
within a link table you can now switch targets (between the source node and the neighbour node).
Ingestion and Document Processing
-
Previously, when a document failed there was only a report in the log. Now you can create a tag for failed ingestion and capture the document metadata so you can examine more closely why a document failed to be ingested.
-
You can create Document Properties and Document Tags based meta-data evaluation.
This adds even greater flexibility in creating Entity Extraction Scripts and Document Processing Scripts to target certain types of documents.
-
Added option to use a Dictionary when creating meta-data evaluation rules.
-
Added option to run an Early-Stage document processing script
See Ingestion and Document Processing.
Question and Answering
Save the Results to a Collection
When you have found the answer to your question using the powerful Question Answering feature, you can easily copy the results into a new or existing Collection.
Backup and Restore
The backup and restore process has been refactored.
You can also use Amazon AWS S3 buckets as a backup location.
Collections Summary
The Collections Summary now lets you examine the collection by properties and tags, including the ability to export the results.
See Collection Summary for more information.
Libraries
You can now use Amazon AWS S3 buckets as a library.
See Configure and Secure Libraries for more information.
Harvester and Chrome Extension

updated preview when editing harvester rulesets to make it easier to identify images and links selected for harvesting.
